Hungry Girl-You are My Hero!

So knowing that my body is made by God to permanently struggle with weight gain/loss-I've made it a lifestyle to always be trying new ways to stay in shape or eat better or differently. I've done South Beach (Not my style), Weight Watchers (LOVED, but hard to diet and exercise at same time at high intensity), counting calories, counting fat grams, counting carbs, eating "super healthy" and workout out lots...The list is endless. Right now, as you all already know---I'm using Myfitnesspal.com to help me track my daily nutrition intake. I'm always running a lot and doing some occasional weight training through P90X. I intend on this being a long term commitment which is why I haven't gotten too discouraged over being off schedule the last 3 weeks. Running has stayed consistent, but the weight lifting has been on hold due to busy schedules.

Since Fall Time is here (YAY!) I have also been looking into new recipes because I love to cook in the fall and winter since there isn't much to do outside. And my kitchen is so hot in the summer when I cook so that has also served as a deterrent. So I've gone to the library and searched for recipe after recipe, but those books are crazy. Any recipe that calls for 15 different spices----I'm not going to try because those things are expensive! Come Christmas time, I may be asking for a Spice Rack! So anyway-I signed up to Eat Better America which has had some great recipes but still calling for spices and little things that just aren't convenient for me at this season in my life. I'm single, I'm young, I'm busy. I want quick, easy, cheap, healthy recipes.

With being on WW (WeightWatchers) I've definitely heard of hungrygirl and all her little tips, but never looked into it much until today! Holy Moly! Great ideas and recipes especially for baking. GO HERE. Please check out her link if you're interested in the same things as I am when it comes to cooking! Great swaps for Pkin Pie, PB Pie, Holiday Peppermint Pie (I'll def be making this one come Christmas time). I'm really looking forward to gettin more into the site and trying some stuff out. I'll keep ya'll updated!

As for today---It's my birthday. I'm 24. And I'm grateful to be alive and healthy for another year God has given me :) To celebrate-I will get off work early, grab Pumpkin Spice Latte w/ my girl Nessa. Lona came to work with me today so we are heading to the Dog Park! Than what I really want to do is grab some Breyer's 98% Fat Free Ice Cream, a movie, and Lona---and snuggle up in my bed and relax. Sounds amazing to me. Followed by a day of mowing lawn w/ Jon and picking up my treadmill and MELTING POT! XOXOXO bloggers. Have a good weekend!
